Lord, let me see the beauty in burnt eggs

broken dishes and unmopped floors

teach me to take pride in B papers

stammered speeches and flubbed arpeggios

when I miss my exit

when my poetry sounds square when nothing

but disapproval meets my eyes

remind me that Perfection

lies at the heart of things,

and let me then rejoice for I am Yours.

Lovely. I was just telling someone the other day that they should read your poetry. :)

Have a happy Valentine's Day, you two!

Um...I'm probably missing the main point of the poem or something, but why is it important to take pride in B papers? If my paper sucks or something shouldn't I just deal with it? O_O

um...i wouldn't dwell on that line. taken out of context, it doesn't make much sense. the poem is about something personal that i feel like God is trying to teach me, about not letting my perfectionism rule my life. it wouldn't apply to everyone.

thanks for sharing my dear : )

i can definitely relate....in the end it's about the heart of it that matters the most.

it's both living a life of worship as a response to our new identity in Christ...His beloved!!!
